WOWI actually debated whether or not I should even read this instalment because Job seemed so boring in the first book All I can say is I'm so glad I didn't skip it There's nothing better than a straight laced hero who suddenly discovers that he's willing to break all the rules when it comes to keeping his heroine Gannon is funny romantic and a great damn plotter Y'all know this by now Read her goddamned books Also I've yet to come across a book of hers that isn't 1000% safe Blog Bookstagram

I thought about skipping this one cause I wanted Gion and Ty's story really bad but I'm so glad I didn't The series is wholly interconnected and while Job and Tess were undeniably cute I loved the glimpse of Gion reading mental health books to try to understand what Ty is going through preparation for the next book And we got to catch up with Cross; I do love me a tortured hero

I ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT PUT DOWN THIS BOOk If that is not the hallmark of an engaging series I don't know what is I was reading till 2am and only went to bed because I identify as an adult Job is so adorable I love what a sweet and dutiful person he is Tessie was the perfect match for him She really helped get him out of his shell It was nice seeing Nia and Cross too and watching how Cross and Job try to build a relationship together Everyone in the book is either sweet or snarky and it makes for hilarious conversations I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH I just want everyone to read it

Looved it This series seems serious than off the wall but I really think the drama is as well written as the funny stuff is

Guardian of the Earth House was interesting in places I was looking forward to read Job and Tessie's story but eh it was alright in the end I'm thinking the whole tortured hero thing is going to be a running theme in the series Job had some of the same emotional print in his thought processes like Cross Honestly as a story it doesn't have any activeness despite having some key players like the uintessence or Kay The interactions between Job and Tessie stays on a level that can't support the book solely without it feeling like it's dragged in certain places They don't have much up and downs despite the promising start so it essentially ends up feeling like lukewarm relationship development Then the parts that are interesting are given out in brief pieces and without much details to make it as important as the book wants it to be This time the book is majorly told through the main characters' POVs except for few chapters here and there to create interest for the upcoming couples The end fight was kinda underwhelming for the characters involved I mean even Tessie's character being a Divine and all doesn't bring much to the table Overall it was fine just not that flavourful I was expecting it to be at least it showed enough about Gion to make me interested about his story

At first I was a bit disappointed that this one wasn't about Gion but Job and Tessie uickly grabbed my attention and wouldn't let go I became really curious about this oldest and strongest of Elementals a man looked up to by many steadfast and reserved and how he would deal with Tessie and his developing feelings for her I wasn't sure at first how they would fit together and whether I would be able to 'see' it they seemed so different but it turns out this human with the extra long lifespan and horrible sister this Keeper of the uintessence is his perfect Match after all After the first in the series I was prepared for and looking forward to finding out about the uintessence and how it fitted into the whole Elementals finding hope and love after the Fall and trying to sort out their futures which is where I thought the series was heading Turns out Ms Gannon has a different direction in mind and now I'm even curious to see how things progress I'm also now REALLY looking forward to reading Gion's story and am so glad it's nextA great second novel and I am off to read the third

Another plusminus book Awesome hero but a less than charming heroine and a silly ass climax

Less polished than her other series but I still finished it and reached for the next book
